As more of us prepare to return to work next week, we may be feeling nervous, worried, even fearful. Concern about catching the virus or carrying it home to loved ones is a real fear. How can we deal with these disturbing thoughts and fears whilst concentrating on trying to get our jobs done and the economy moving again?

Perhaps it is useful to remember that at the time of writing, just 0.429 of one percent of the UK’s population currently have the virus. Provided we follow government guidelines and observe social distancing rules, the chances of catching Covid-19 are very slight. The gradual lifting of the lockdown offers more opportunity for us to resume a more normal life and this is something positive. Those of us forced to stay at home for the last sixteen weeks, are beginning to emerge from our homes feeling as though we have come out of some kind of hibernation! Hopefully the great weather will resume soon and further enable our return to normality.
